EyeMedia Australia maintains the highest level of security for all their website data, including that of the Precise Background Services site.
WebInterprise Security
The WebInterprise Content Management System has been developed using the IBM Domino platform. WebInterprise utilises the components of Domino security model to ensure maximum security of the application and our client’s data. The Domino security model provides user authentication, flexible access control as well as advanced security options such as digital signatures and encryption.
The WebInterprise Content Management System and Websites are made up of a number of Domino databases. Every database includes an Access Control List (ACL) which WebInterprise uses to determine the level of access that users have to that database.
Access control is used for specifying who can use a resource and what they can do with it. Access control is applicable to servers, individual databases and documents (including those referenced via links) and even fields within forms.
Once ACL’s have been set authentication relies on a challenge mechanism to prompt users to authenticate themselves. Authentication reliably verifies that users seeking access to resources such as specific documents within your website are who they claim to be. Authentication employs user IDs and passwords generated as part of the WebInterprise Content Management System.
The Precise WebInterprise databases are located on a secure server in Eye Media’s data centre.
Eye Media’s facility provides:
> Generator backup - guards against complete power loss > Uninterruptible Power Supply - guards against temporary spikes > Redundant computer-grade air conditioning system > Secure restricted access data centre with alarm system > 100 MB connection to multiple Internet backbones and peering connections > 24 x 7 monitoring and notification
Eye Media conducts daily incremental backups of all Precise Background Services web databases, with weekly full backups rotated on a monthly schedule.
Eye Media continually monitors the servers for performance and security with the following activities performed every 90 seconds:
>> http get >> smtp helo >> DNS request >> ftp login, and; >> ping
If after the 4th attempt on any of the above there is no response, System support staff receive an email and SMS notification to investigate.
In summary it is this combination of the Domino security attributes used in the WebInterprise Content Management System and Eye Media’s Managed Hosting environment as well as the physical security of Eye Media’s data centre that ensures the integrity of our client’s information and systems.
